MCQ

I think it necessary to start by saying this: Alexander McQueen is the greatest thing to happen in fashion since Gabrielle Chanel dismissed the wasp waist early in the 20th century. In a time when it seems there's nothing left for a designer to do but recycle looks from the past, McQueen never fails to reinvent himself and make everyone else look like a pathetic wannabe. His work belongs in museums and galleries, so it always baffles me when I see someone walking around with a bag or article of clothing with his insignia. I mean, someone out there actually went to the store, bought the thing and is wearing it on the street!

But now, (drumroll please), Alexander McQueen just became accessible to the rest of us (meaning the normal people in this world, with incomes of less than $800k). And who can we thank for this beautiful thing? No one other than Target, daaahling. Yes, they've come to our rescue once more, about to offer the new AMQ clothing line for $19-$120! So happy shopping fashionistas. And please note that in honor of New York fashion week, there is a launch event this Sat and Sun at the St. John's center on Houston street, which will allow us to purchase these items a week before they are released at Targets everywhere. So special!
